Marine Applications for Plastic Blast Media

Tackling the destructive effects of the sea is a constant challenge for boat and ship owners, and surface preparation and repainting is a regular task. In addition to stripping paint barnacles offer a challenge to any paint removal system, and any stripping media needs to tackle these without affecting the underlying material.

Plastic stripping media can be used to remove paint and barnacles from the hardwood, fibreglass and plastic materials often used on modern boats. In the process it can uncover blisters in fibreglass hulls without damaging the hull further, allowing for easy repair work to be undertaken.

Plastic abrasives can also be used to removes brass oxides.
